Time Tracking

Our priority this year is to improve our routing and scheduling, one of the core ways that this works is by having accurate tracking for travel time and time spent on jobs.

To help with remembering, Housecall Pro has added location based prompts and we are recommending that everyone turn these on.

Example location based reminder

How do I turn on location based reminders?

Settings → Housecall Pro → Location → Always On
  1. Navigate to settings

  2. Scroll down to Housecall Pro

  3. Select location

  4. Select Always On

On My Way

When you are headed to a job regardless if the job has already started you must click on my way, if you are the first to select on my way a notification will be triggered lettering the customer know your current location and that you are haeded their way.

This only triggers a notification for the first person who selects on my way for a given job but everyone must still select on my way on their own apps.

The On My Way Button can be found on jobs and estimates

Start

This does not trigger a notification. Each technician must select Start when arriving to job. If you have enabled reminders you should get a notification.

Finish

Once somebody selects the finish button a notification to the customer is triggered and everyones time is stopped.
